Star-Studded Show Starring BLACKPINK's Jennie Scrutinized With Scathing Reviews
BLACKPINK‘s Jennie seemingly has the golden touch with everything she does, but a recent anticipated show has been hit with scathing reviews.
The idol was a star on the show The Secret Friends Club.
Yet, despite the star-studded cast, it saw major failings with ratings.
While the initial ratings saw it flop, it seems like there has been no improvement as the latest episodes have been released.
In particular, an article that garnered attention online outlined the reasons the show failed, including its purpose of having celebrities complete missions and form bonds through gift-giving. It also explained that it is easier to see the lives of celebrities through social media, so watching them now through shows isn’t as new and refreshing. With a focus on celebrities, it said that netizens just aren’t connecting to it.

The comments from netizens were even harsher, hitting out at the poor casting, the boring title, and how everything about the show feels stale and uninteresting.
