"Single's Inferno 5" Song Seung Il Confesses The Truth About "Ghosting" Kim Min Gee
Single’s Inferno 5 contestant Song Seung Il has spoken out about comments made by fellow cast member Kim Min Gee regarding their relationship after the show.
On March 6, a new video titled “MC Kyu’s Single’s Inferno Q&A (with Seung Il, Haeun)” was uploaded to Super Junior Kyuhyun’s YouTube channel. Song Seung Il and fellow cast member Lee Ha Eun appeared as guests to talk about their experiences on the show.

During the conversation, Kyuhyun asked whether there were any misunderstandings or criticisms from viewers that Seung Il wanted to address. Seung Il responded by acknowledging that some viewers believed the relationships on the show were staged. He explained that if the emotions viewers saw were acting, that would be even more impressive.
“Recently, I’ve heard people say things like ‘Wasn’t it all acting?’ or ‘It seemed fake.’ But acting in that environment isn’t easy. When it comes to dating, I’m usually very cautious with people. Because I take time getting to know someone, I think my pace may have seemed slow. But I approached Single’s Inferno sincerely.”
Seung Il also addressed his relationship with Kim Min Gee, who he ended the show with as a final couple. Previously, Kim Min Gee shared on Netflix’s Single’s Inferno Reunion that the two had barely communicated after filming. She explained that she had not received meaningful contact from him, describing the situation as feeling more like “one-sided knocking rather than real communication.” Many assumed that Seung Il had ghosted her after the show ended, criticizing him for poor communication.
Responding to her comments, Seung Il expressed regret. He clarified that he did not mean to ghost her. He also revealed that after the broadcast ended, he contacted her privately to apologize
“Min Gee noona was someone who was very honest with me and did her best. I shared my confusing situation openly with her, but I think from her perspective it may have felt more like a cut-off rather than closure. I felt cautious and sorry about that. After the show, I reached out to her and apologized for my immature behavior.”
Kyuhyun then added that when he saw the two at a group gathering, they appeared to be on good terms. The two also recently met up and uploaded a cute photobooth photo together.
